Everything you need to get started.

Installing the Modpack

You'll need the Modrinth App and our Official Modpack (available on Discord).

  1. Download the Modrinth Launcher from modrinth.com/app
  2. Grab our modpack from the Discord — choose Full (all features) or Bare Bones (performance)
  3. In Modrinth, click the + icon → select "From File"
  4. Choose the modpack file you downloaded
  5. Wait for it to install, then hit Play
  6. Post your Minecraft username in the #whitelist channel on Discord

Your First Day

  1. Choose your House — This will be permanent. Read about each one before deciding!
  2. Find your territory — Coordinates are most likely pinned in your House's Discord channel!
  3. Meet your Housemates — They'll help you get settled and explain how things work in the House, depending on when you join things might be very different!
  4. Learn what you can and can't do — Each House has exclusive rights and specialties. Respect them!
  5. Start contributing — Gather resources, build, trade. Your House's strength is also your strength, you are nothing without your comrades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

Which House should I pick?

Depends on what you enjoy. Adamant is for builders and engineers. Theurgy is for magic, exploring and combat. Demeter is for farming, coziness and community. Read the Houses page before you decide!

Can I switch Houses later?

No. Your choice is permanent. Please don't ask admins to switch you!

Can I play solo or do I have to join a House?

You must join a House. This server is built around community and working together! We want to keep the server alive as long as possible.

How do I find my House's base?

Check the pinned messages in your House's Discord channel for coordinates, or ask around.

Economy & Trading

How does trading work?

All trades use Coin! You can trade at the central marketplace or arrange deals through Discord.

What if I need something my House can't make?

You trade for it. That's the point... Houses depend on each other.

Can I use mods that belong to another House?

Not if they're Hard Monopolies! You'll need to buy access or trade for the items. Check the Houses page for what's exclusive vs specialty.

Rules & Conflicts

Is PvP allowed?

No, by default you cant just attack someone. But there are two scenarios where pvp is allowed. During a War over a Region, and during an Assassination. Check the Rules page for more details. Context matters!

Can I build anywhere?

Stay within your House's claimed territory unless you have permission. Expansion outside your region requires a lot of money and coordination with your House .

What happens if someone breaks a monopoly?

Report it to your House leadership or Admins. Violations are taken seriously, and will result in either RP consequences, warnings or a ban if repeated multiple times.

Technical

The modpack won't install / crashes on launch

Make sure you have enough RAM allocated (at least 5GB recommended). Ask in Discord for help.

Full or Bare Bones modpack?

Full includes everything. Bare Bones cuts some visual mods for better performance on weaker machines. You can always switch later.

I'm whitelisted but can't connect

Double check your username spelling. If it's correct, ping a staff member on Discord.
